Apartment Bathroom Sink Faucet Upgrade – Create a Mini Spa!

The biggest complaints I’ve had about my apartment bathroom are its floor, mirror, vanity and the sink faucet!

Living in an apartment definitely has downsides because you’re limited in the types of renovations allowed. If you’re like me and you live in an apartment as well, then here’s a way to spruce up your own bathroom and create a relaxing mini spa feeling! Or if you’re just trying to get ideas to replace yours in your home then this post is for you! In today’s post, I’ll share how I tackled an ugly bathroom faucet by replacing it.

I’ve wanted this for awhile, but hesitated because it’s an apartment, not a home I own. Ever since I found this gorgeous bathroom sink faucet, however, the thought kept floating in my mind. I may be here another few months or maybe another year!

I finally decided that I wanted a pretty, dreamy bathroom, so that won out. Plus, I get to blog about it and share it with you, so here we are!

I wanted this to feel relaxing and never liked the original faucet.

I’m a big fan of the brushed nickel look so I chose this beautiful Waterfall Brushed Nickel Faucet. Isn’t it lovely?

When it first arrived in the box I immediately removed and started the assembly process which was very simple. I just followed the enclosed instructions.

I did hit a snag once I measured the water lines going into the original. They were not the same and too large for the lines enclosed with this one. But, I purchased these handy water line adapters that fit perfectly and it was fine after that.

I didn’t replace the bottom drain section, so I covered up the ugly rusted part by placing some beach stones as a cover up! I picked these stones up from Malibu beach and knew they’d come in handy one day! I got this idea from another user’s photo on Amazon. They used pretty stones over the drain. I thought it was such a great idea to incorporate into my spa theme, plus it hides my own rusty drain!

Use rocks to cover an unsigthly drain in your bathroom for a spa like feeling!

I never thought I’d derive so much joy from a simple faucet upgrade, but every time I step in my bathroom I just love it all over again. What do you think?
